L’Equip Dehydrator Review
Most of the reviewers of L’Equip Dehydrator raved about this product’s exceptional performance with comments that this dehydrator is great in drying various kinds of foods. The adjustable temperature control is a very helpful feature as well. One thing to consider about this rectangular unit instead of a round unit is that it fits nicely on a shelf and doesn’t consume so much room when not in use. It’s nice and quiet, and comes with the fruit trays and the mesh sheets for the six trays which make buying a lot of extras unnecessary. Another great thing about it is that it only heats the trays which are being used.
For some issues with this product, a few users said the unit works as advertised except that it states that there’s no rotating of trays but it’s actually necessary to rotate a couple of times for the food to dry evenly. Also, there’s no timer in this unit and users would have appreciated it if it had an automatic shut off feature. Another concern is that it only heats to about 125 to 130 degrees F, and it can’t go up to 150 degrees as promised.
The reviewers said it’s easy to use and the directions are worth reading, although basically all you have to do is load the trays, stack them up and turn the unit on. This unit is easy to keep clean by just rinsing the removable trays and tray liners in the sink. The small rectangular trays stack vertically to use a minimum amount of counter space. For those who are into food storage from an economic standpoint, then this dehydrator will make it easy. It works great and dehydrates food in hours and not in days, without cooking it to preserve the nutrients and flavor.
The L’Equip Dehydrator received outstanding average rating from the people who used it and they’re glad it’s what they chose to buy. This product has a lot going for it, starting with a real instruction book, expansion and solid construction. The trays are firm and each is outfitted with a removable fine mesh so those smaller items don’t fall through. The motor is reasonably quiet and it does a fine job drying food without cooking the food. Overall, it does a great job and many users were impressed with it.
